Product Information

Overview
Constructing a prayer life is often like putting a puzzle together without the box’s cover.  Having a picture makes all the difference.  Bible prayers create a model of what prayer can be; exciting, fulfilling and powerful.  Using a simple acrostic makes prayer memorable, interesting and focused.  You too can learn to pray following this simple outline utilized by men and women who experience the transforming power of prayer.

Author
Reggie Weems was born in Granite City, Illinois (USA).  Converted at seventeen, he married his childhood sweetheart, and served as an Egyptian linguist for the U.S. government before serving as the Senior Pastor of two churches for thirty years of ministry.  As a Christian and pastor, Reggie simultaneously rejoices in and struggles with discipline of prayer.  It is for that reason that he emphasizes it, practices it and encourages others to join him in the wonder of communion with God.

Endorsements
Reggie Weems has written a book utilizing ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) model.  I don’t know if there is any other book that treats this subject the way Reggie has treated prayer.  I have known Reggie for over 20 years and have seen how God has worked through the church that he has grown over a period of time.  Obviously, he believes in prayer and God has worked through him to build Heritage Baptist Church into a powerful congregation.
Elmer L. Towns, Co-Founder, Liberty University and Vice President, Liberty Unviersity, Dean, School of Religion, Lynchburg, Virginia

Because of the unique nature of the Christian discipline of prayer, most books on prayer are more inspiring than they are helpful. Pastor Reggie Weems has achieved what only a few have ever done in Christian history. This book is orthodox, penetrating, motivating and inspiring, all in one slender, readable volume. If you are hoping to enhance your walk with the Master, here is one book that will bless your soul.
Paige Patterson, President, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, USA

This brief work on prayer will encourage you to pray, teach you to pray, and give you precious gems about prayer along the way. It taught me things I did not know, and reminded me of things I had forgotten.
Paul David Washer, HeartCry Missionary Society

Over the years I have used the acronym ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) thousands of time, but I had never read a detailed exposition of its value until I came across this book. I missed a great deal! Most Christians must occasionally feel that their time of prayer is little more than a shopping list—and that they leave the check-out with nothing in the basket.  Help is at hand!  Simple, scriptural and practical, I predict that this little book will set countless Christians on their way to praying more wisely, more enthusiastically and more effectively. I warmly commend it.
John Blanchard, Author, Apologist and Conference Speaker

Biblically and theologically sound; practically inspiring and relevant! A fresh and timely invitation to live a focused and abundant Christian life of prayer in the midst of a culture of meaninglessness and emptiness. Dr. Weems speaks with the authority of a Bible student, pastor, missionary, husband and father on prayer. I have known Dr. Weems during his missionary work behind the Iron Curtain where prayer in not one item on a Sunday’s bulletin, but the way of life rooted in the divine revelation of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as recorded in the fully inspired and inerrant Holy Scriptures.
Paul Negrut (PhD), Pastor, Emanuel Baptist Church of Oradea, Romania and President, Emanuel University of Oradea, Romania

What you hold in your hands is practical theology at its finest. Pastor Reggie Weems offers sound theology about prayer to encourage and challenge you to pray soundly. Here is a call to prayer that is God-honoring, Christ-focused, Spirit-led and Scripture-based. May this book be a useful tool for your spiritual growth and a catalyst for a revival of prayer in today's church.
Thom S. Rainer, President and CEO, LifeWay Christian Resources
